On Saturday we all gathered at Nolan's house for a delicious dinner in his very cool backyard. We had ribs, burgers, steak, chicken, hot dogs, brats.... the whole 9 yards for this momentous occassion! Nolan owns 2 houses, and Lindsey and AJ rent 1 from Nolan, which, conveniently, happens to be right next door. Nolan has done a lot of remodeling of his backyard, and he did a fantastic job! After dinner we played a couple of games before all heading our seperate ways for the evening. My family stayed at Nolan's hosue, and that night we watched Here Comes the Boom. It was good! And Clarence even stayed awake for the whole thing, so I KNOW it was good!
The next morning we all went to Terron's baby blessing at 9:30. It was a beautiful blessing, and it was so neat to see SO MANY in the circle for the baby blessing. Sacrament meeting was loud, but what do you expect with that many little kids running around? After the sacrament we all took off and made the hour drive to Kevin's ward. Once again we filled the chapel. Our family took up 5 benches. Eliza wore a baby blessing dress that has been around in our family for many years. It was pretty cool.
After our 2nd sacrament meeting we all gathered at Kevin's house for some yummy dinner. The kids played outside. The weather was so pretty, but then again it usually is in March in Arizona City. I love having a big family. We haven't all been together for awhile, so it was nice to sit around the table and just talk and joke around for awhile.
Around 4 my family called it quits and headed for home. My kids wanted to go through the tunnel, so we went the "scenic" route home: through Globe. It was a little longer, but it was a nice drive. Thanks to Team Umizoomi and a small TV, it was a very quiet trip home. Karly got a couple of movies for her early birthday present, so she was happy. While in Phx. the kids got to buy new pairs of shoes and they were pretty happy with that. Clarence saw deer on the way home and he was happy about that. I had a great weekend with my kids and my family, so you guess it, I was one happy gal too!
